Description du poste : Organization Danone Research - Centre for Specialised Nutrition is a state-of-the-art life sciences innovation centre for the development of new product concepts for Baby Nutrition and Medical Nutrition. We create formulas that provide clinically substantiated health benefits to vulnerable consumers - infants, toddlers, elderly and patients. Our products are marketed under the brand names Nutricia, Milupa, SHS and Blédina, amongst others. Capitalising on our numerous international preclinical and clinical collaborations, we aim to identify new nutritional intervention opportunities and develop innovative product forms. Danone has R&D facilities worldwide, with major centres in The Netherlands (Wageningen, Zoetermeer and Cuijk), France (Palaiseau), Germany (Friedrichsdorf), Singapore and UK (Liverpool). . Location Wageningen, in 2013 the workplace will move to Utrecht (the Netherlands) Job description The Diet & Nutrition Team Leader will be a member of the Scientific Platform on Developmental Physiology and Nutrition and will be responsible for building and providing the nutrition expertise for the baby and toddler milks and foods. He/she will build contact with other global and local R&D teams and will be a key contact person to bring nutritional data, scientific facts and innovation proposals to the business. He/she will work in multifunctional mid term innovation (project) teams, and cover short term (ad hoc) nutrition related questions and issues. Your main responsibilities are: - Be team leader of a small team of nutritionists (currently 2 direct reports in the Netherlands and 3 functional reports in Singapore). - Drive the science program in the area of dietary intake & nutrient status. - Owner of the Danone Baby Nutrition (DBN) Nutritional Commitment (i.e. product development guidelines). Build new guidelines for feeding behavior and portion size. - Owner of all nutritional rationales for DBN products. - Deal with more complex scientific questions in the area of nutrition (literature study, position papers, nutritional compositions) - Provide nutritional, scientific knowledge and insights to Medical and Marketing teams - Evaluate current product compositions. Translate scientific knowledge into upgraded and/or new product compositions - Link with the outside scientific world (eg Universities, NGOs, Food and Nutrition authorities, ILSI) for scientific collaborations . - Link with other Science Platforms (inside scientific world) and Clinical Trial Platform to align on the future innovation strategy and to support experimental (pre-) clinical work (e.g. on protocol development, nutritional evaluations and external scientific contacts). - Link with global and regional R&D business teams to align the nutrition strategy. - Link with the Danone Global Nutrition Platform on methodology and implementation of nutrition tools.
